Background Location Disclosure

Important disclosure

NEXHR collects location data to enable attendance and duty tracking even when the app is closed or not in use. This happens only when the tracking/duty feature is enabled by your employer and you are punched in. A persistent notification is shown while tracking is active, and tracking stops when you punch out.

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; doing so may prevent attendance features from working.

Section 3

How We Use Information

  • To provide HR services — attendance, leave, payroll, tasks, approvals, and related features
  • To verify attendance location and time
  • To send service notifications
  • To secure accounts and prevent misuse

We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Section 4

Data Sharing

  • Your employer: HR data, attendance, and location records collected through the App are visible to your organization’s authorized HR/admin staff — this is the core purpose of the App.
  • Service providers: Google Firebase (push notifications) and our hosting provider, only as needed to operate the service.
  • Legal requirements: where required by applicable law or valid legal process.
Section 5

Data Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS) and stored on secured servers. Access is restricted through role-based authentication, and passwords are stored in hashed form.

Section 6

Data Retention & Deletion

Data is retained for as long as your employer maintains your employee account, and thereafter only as required for statutory and payroll compliance.

To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact your organization’s HR administrator or email us at support@nexshastra.com.

Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
